Picrew Avatar Maker

On Picrew, "avatar" is one of the featured tags, and avatar makers are what most visitors use the site for: pick a maker by an artist you like, tap through the parts and save a portrait.

This page offers the same kind of tool as a single maker with one style. It is independent of Picrew. The differences are practical: it opens without an agreement screen, every part takes any color, and the pictures are free for any use.

How it compares for avatars

If you have used Picrew, the layout will feel familiar. A few things work differently.

• Colors: a color picker on each part, where most Picrew makers offer a fixed set chosen by the artist.
• Rules: one set of terms for everything you make, in place of four permission labels per maker.
• Saving: autosave in the browser and a Copy link that reopens the avatar for editing.
• Style: one art style. Picrew has thousands, by many artists.

When to use Picrew itself

If you love a particular artist's look, use their maker on Picrew and follow the rules on its page. Check the Personal label before using a result as an avatar and the Processing label before cropping or editing it. The permissions guide explains each label.

Getting the cropped portrait look

Picrew avatars are usually square portraits with a soft background. That is the default here. Choose Dots, Hearts or a Gradient in pastel colors, keep the face centered and download. The file is 1024 x 1024 pixels, which suits every platform.
