Two characters in one picture. Edit each side separately, then save them together.
Couple makers are a category of their own on Picrew: image makers that draw two characters in one frame, used for matching profile pictures, anniversary posts, ship art and best-friend pictures. They are popular and harder to find than solo makers, because drawing two full sets of parts is twice the work for the artist.
This maker puts two full characters on one canvas. Use the Left and Right buttons above the preview to choose who you are editing. Every tab then applies to that character only. The background is shared.
Matching does not mean identical. The pairs that look best share one thing and differ in everything else.
The same layout works for any two characters: best friends, rivals, siblings, a hero and a sidekick, or you and your own OC. Roleplay partners use duo pictures as shared banners. Writers use them to keep a pair of leads consistent across chapters.
If you need each character alone, build them here first, then recreate the one you want on the main OC maker or the PFP maker for a matching solo avatar.
The download is a 1800 x 1800 pixel square with one character on each half. To make matching profile pictures, crop the left half for one person and the right half for the other in any photo app. Because both halves share the same background pattern, the two avatars look connected when they appear next to each other in a chat.
Load a look into the maker, then change whatever you like.

Yes. Both characters use the full part list. Any pairing works.
Not in one picture. Make them separately on the main maker and combine the transparent PNGs in an image editor.
